Dresden, Germany

July 5-7, 2006

IMPORTANT DATES

WiP session Submission Deadline: April 22, 2006
Acceptance Notification: May 20, 2006
Camera-ready papers: June 2, 2006
ECRTS06 conference: July 5-7, 2006

Contributions to a special Work-In-Progress (WIP) session of ECRTS'06 are sought. The ECRTS'06 WIP session will be devoted to the presentation of new and on-going projects in real-time systems research and applications. We are especially interested in new and creative ideas and approaches. Contributors to the WIP session will be asked to give a short presentation of their work and prepare a poster for the WIP discussion forum that will be held after the presentations. Accepted submissions will be included in a special ECRTS'06 WIP proceedings that will be distributed to all ECRTS'06 conference participants and available electronically from the Web.

The primary purpose of this session is to provide researchers an opportunity to discuss their evolving ideas and gather feedback thereon from the real-time community at large. Submissions dealing with all aspects of real-time issues are welcome. These include, but are not limited to:

  • A/V streaming with RT constraints
  • Power-aware RT-computing
  • Real-time systems middleware
  • Adaptive systems theory and practice
  • Real-time sensor/actuator networks
  • Real-time mobile computing
  • RT devices and (co)processors
  • Wireless communications
  • Architectural support
  • Timing and execution-time Analysis
  • Case-studies
  • In-home entertainment networks
  • Embedded operating systems
  • Software engineering
  • Real-time databases
  • RT programming languages
  • Scheduling
  • Hardware/software co-design
  • Performance modeling
  • Performance engineering
  • Formal methods
  • Models of real-time computing

Submissions to ECRTS'06 WIP should describe original on-going work and must be limited to a maximum of four pages in the standard IEEE two column format (single spaced, font 10pt; see here). To submit a WIP paper please e-mail a postscipt or PDF file as an attachment to the ECRTS'06 Work-in-Progress Chair, Tei-Wei Kuo.

Please write "ECRTS WIP SUBMISSION" (in upper-case letters) in the subject line of your e-mail.
